The Wagner family has been in the metal business since 1850. First located in Buffalo, NY, the founder – Julius Wagner – moved his iron shop to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1870. The original location was on the site of the Milwaukee City Hall annex.
The present company – R & B Wagner was founded by Adolph A. Wagner in 1955. With his basement as his workshop, he designed approximately forty products – basic fittings including two sizes of elbows, flanges and connectors. Today, those forty-some products have grown to over 11,000 catalog items.
The Wagner Companies has a diverse product line with special focus in the areas of railing products (elbows, handrail, fittings, etc.) and services related to railings such as bending, fabrication and polishing. Additionally, we manufacture OEM components for various industrial customers requiring stamping, welding, bending, polishing, water jet, and fabrication.
Additionally, over the last several years, Wagner has developed an extensive line of metal products for the installation of architectural glass systems – i.e., glass railing and guard.
Wagner is the world's leading manufacturer of Festivus Poles – centerpiece of the December holiday "Festivus" popularized in the television program "Seinfeld."
Once identified by its divisions – R & B Wagner, J.G. Braun, Advance Stamping, and Johann Tube and Pipe Bending – Wagner is now one company with three different product lines – Wagner Architectural Catalog, Wagner Architectural Custom, and Wagner Industrial OEM Products.
Our markets can be divided into several groups including: designers, metal fabricators, general contractors, industrial, distributors and end users.
